The Walker Art Gallery 2nd August

The Walker Art Gallery is the National Gallery of the North, it has housed Liverpool’s most outstanding artworks for the past 130 years. At this moment in time, the gallery displays the works of ‘Sickert’ in the largest retrospect for 30 years. The Rotunda gallery is where most of the events in this venue are hosted. The spiraling staircases lead the guests to the Rotunda Gallery in which guests can take in the art work as well as views of the lower floors. The glass roof in this space lets in a flurry of natural daylight which highlights the architecture of the building.

The Olympic Park of ISCEV 2022: the venue for the ISCEV Olympics (see here).

An iconic Victorian park at the centre of the original University campus set with geometrical flower beds and manicured lawns. On the day, a marquee will house the Games HQ.

Liverpool City Town Hall 3rd August

A welcome reception hosted by the City’s Mayor. Liverpool Town Hall stands in High Street at its junction with Dale Street, Castle Street, and Water Street in Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and described in the list as “one of the finest surviving 18th-century town halls. The authors of the Buildings of England series refer to its “magnificent scale”, and consider it to be “probably the grandest …suite of civic rooms in the country”, and “an outstanding and complete example of late Georgian decoration” Wiki link here

a terrific prospect of madness on the River

Ferries have featured on the River Mersey for over 800 years. By the time Liverpool had been officially declared a town in 1207 ‘ferries’ were already an established sight. Delegates will take a scenic ‘Ferry across the Mersey’ and see the magnificent waterfront from the River Mersey.

Celebrating ISCEV Liverpool 2022

The centre of Liverpool’s iconic Maritime Heritage Site, the Symposium Gala evening could not be a more appropriate venue.

The Maritime Museum is situated in the heart of the Royal Albert Dock and is surrounded by Liverpool’s best independent restaurants and cafes. The museum itself tells the story of Liverpool’s seafaring heritage and the Merchant Navy. The exposed brickwork and windows showcase a breath-taking view of Liverpool’s Waterfront.
