The Venue

The symposium will be held at The Academia’s auditorium, a brand-new conferencing facility located right next to the Singapore National Eye Centre within the Singapore General Hospital campus. This area is easily accessible by bus/train/taxis.

As conference rooms tend to be cold, attendees are advised to bring along a cardigan/sweater.

Transport on arrival

Taxi fare from Changi International Airport during non-peak hours to the conference site will cost approximately 16 USD. An additional 20% is expected for peak hours. The journey takes about 20 min to 40 min depending on non-peak or peak hours.

Alternatively, delegates can take the Mass Rapid Transport (MRT), a fast and convenient public transport [The estimated fare is SGD 1.80, Changi Airport to Outram Train Station. For non-local, you will need to purchase a ticket from the automated ticketing machines.]. From the airport:

Take the East West line to Tanah Merah station
Board the train towards Joo Koon & alight at Outram Park Station
Upon alighting, a brief 10 minutes’ walk will take you to The Academia. Alternatively, shuttle bus services are available at a 10 min interval right at the exit of the station.
