7.00 p.m. | Welcome Party Town Museum (on the bank of the Elbe river - see the city map) It will be possible to visit expositions of the Museum and to see a specially-prepared film (15 min.) depicting life under the communistic regime in Czechoslovakia. There will be two projections in the Museum Lecture Hall - at 8.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. Departure of a bus to hotels at 10.00 p.m. |

2.00 p.m | Walking tour through town of Hradec KrlovÈ, with excursion into town brewery and beer tasting ISCEV 98 participants will be divided into 5 groups which will start the tour at various places to enable a rotation of brewery visitors. You will find the number of your group and a specification of the starting point in your Symposium package. |
4.00 p.m. | Garden Party in "Jirskovy sady" (town park at the confluence of the Elbe an Eagle rivers - see the city map) The Garden Party will be in the style of an old village feast with Czech meals (not exclusively), music and a small market giving you a possibility to buy some typical Czech souvenirs. Traditional ISCEV competition will be organized. Among participants from each country, one person is responsible for a nomination of a couple (female-male) for competition. In case of nomination problems, you can create international couples. Bus departure to hotels between 10.00 and 11.00 p.m. |

7.00 p.m. | Closing Ceremony in Aula of historical Carolinum in Prague including the award (by Mrs. Elke Dodt) to the winner of the "Eberhard Dodt Memorial Award" and awarding of memorial medals of the Charles University to Prof. Zrenner, Prof. Spekreijse and Prof. Blakemore who helped to keep and improve the electrophysiological research at the Charles University - Medical Faculty in Hradec KrlovÈ. We deeple regret that the Charles University cannot express our gratitude to Prof. Eberhard Dodt - the superior patron of visual electrophysiology not only in Hradec KrlovÈ but in all former communistic countries. (It is not possible to award this medal "in memoriam"). He set up many fellowships in his Bad Nauheim laboratories which enabled countless visual electrophysiologist to keep up to date in their field. Prof. Dodt remains forever in our memory. |
8.00 p.m. | Farewell reception, guided excursion through the building of the Carolinum, possibility to buy memorial items commemorating the 650th anniversary of the Charles University. |
Sunday, June 14 | |
8.30 a.m. | All day trip (lunch included) to renaissance town of NovÈ Mesto, sandstone rocks of Adrspach and castle of Nchod. Return to hotels is planned at about 3.30 p.m. At about 5.00 p.m. buses will take accompanying persons to the Poster Party. |
Tuesday, June 16 | |
8.30 a.m. | Morning trip to a famous moving wood carved Nativity scene in the town of Trebechovice and to a cut-glass manufacturer with on-site shopping possibility in Dobruöka. Accompanying persons will find in their Symposium packages a brochure showing traditional Czech cut-glass which can be bought there for a reasonable price (we do not recommend to buy cut-glass in Prague for a high price). Lunch in small town of Dobruska is included. |
